This page contains some details about the integration between MyTimetable and TimeEdit.

Connection and update rate

MyTimetable connects to the TimeEdit SOAP API. Initially, all data from the TimeEdit database is transferred to the MyTimetable databases. After this initial sync, new data is synced every minute. As the processing of new data may take a couple of minutes, the total time to pick up new changes can be up to 15 minutes.

As new reservations that are deleted within 5 minutes do not cause any audit trail in TimeEdit, we sync new reservations after these 5 minutes have passed and thus new reservations take a little longer to be available.

A change in TimeEdit's object model or external identifiers will require a full refresh of the databases on MyTimetable's end. Please liaise with our support department to make sure access to your TimeEdit data continues without interruption.

Colour processing

MyTimetable has the ability to use colours defined on TimeEdit's objects in the MyTimetable interface. Striping is not supported and such colours will be processed as regular colours. At the moment of writing, the following colours are supported by MyTimetable:

  • Green
  • Yellow
  • Blue
  • Purple
  • Mint green
  • Orange
  • Red
  • Light blue
  • Dark yellow
  • Pink
  • Lime green
  • Army green
  • Wine red
  • Acid green
  • Orchid purple
  • Brown

As TimeEdit's API transfers these colours using text values, any new colours will require a new colour mapping in MyTimetable's systems. If you encounter any colours not in the list above, please let us know and we will make sure to add support.
